Ideas and Inspirations for Modern Games

Be it Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, or any other lineup of games in any genre, one thing that the user will observe is that they are all adapted from popular books or movie. This is a trend that seems to be going on in the gaming industry. Seeing your favourite movie or book hit the gaming console or the computer in form of a great game is almost every fans dream. This is so because almost everyone would want to live out the adventure mentioned in their favourite books and movies. What better way to do this than to experience it in a Nintendo Wii, PS or Xbox game?

A game gives the user more control on what happen. The adventures, the missions, the goals of every level allow the gamer to feel the power and intensity of a particular idea. For example, one may read about the sights, the events and spectacles of the Quidditch in a HP book. One may surely find a lot of entertainment in reading the graphics description of the events. However, the feel of actually playing the game or the tournament in a game is something no user would think avoidable. The pleasure of flying through air yourself, dodging other players and evil balls and more is what makes the user control the events.

Thus, this is not a bad idea at all on part of the gaming companies to make profit from the fame of popular movies and books.
