Review - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen- Xbox 360

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is based on the original movie.

In the fight for supremacy, you fly across worlds as either the Autobots or Decepticons, You can choose to be any of the “transformers”, with personalities as varied as their skills & armaments.

There are two distinct campaigns, where you can fight either to protect or obliterate humankind, & there’s enough diversity to enjoy both.

You can choose to be one of the more popular transformers like Bumblebee, Ironhide, Optimus Prime or even a completely new character introduced in the game.

There are 3 different modes; be a robot or a weapon, and if you’d like to fly/ drive around, simply transform into a vehicle. Each level is timed & the faster you finish with your various missions the more medals you earn. There’s enough destruction & wreckage on each mission to keep you glued. The most entertaining parts though, are the unlockables & bonus challenges that could fetch you “energon”. These, along with the advanced maneuvering & melee attacks & the opportunity to defeat your enemies with panache, will keep you engrossed.

The transformers look sleek, glossy & are intricately designed. There’s an online, multiplayer mode available which adds to the excitement.

The voice acting could’ve certainly been better. Another problem is that it might take you a while to master the controls (especially transforming into the vehicle mode), but once you do, you’re in for an utterly enjoyable experience, & if you’re a Transformer fan, you’ll certainly find a lot more to rave about!
